NOTICE- FYI FROM MRS.V.- NPR's Steve Curwood to speak 5/19/08
The RPI STEP Program is pleased to invite Rensselaer Community, and
especially those families who have middle and high-school school
children, to attend a special event on Monday, May 19, 7-8:30 p.m., in
Mothers in the Rensselaer Union.
Steve Curwood, Executive Director and Host of NPR's "Living on Earth"
will be in town as part of the RPI STEP Day of Service. The title of his
talk will be "Making a Case for Science and Math," and he will speak
about some of the issues in science, technology and math that he's
learned about over the years through his travels and hundreds of
interviews about the world and the environment. The program aims to
inspire young people, and encourage them to work hard so that they will
be prepared to pursue careers in these fields when they are ready to go
to college.
