Students should copy down their spelling words and do at least 1 page in their spelling books. Study your words each night. Bring your book in on Monday.
Math: Fourth Years: Total Math--division
(Genevieve/Dixie work on multiples of 4 and 5)
Fifth Years: Total Math-double digit long division and exponent worksheet
Sixth Years: exponent worksheet
All Math is due on Tuesday
Novel Study:
New books were assigned today. Each student should read up through Chapter 3 by Tuesday. Activities will be given on Tuesday afternoon.
Autobiographies: Chapter 2 went home yesterday. Students should bring in a rough draft of this chapter by November 19th.
Senior Projects: Rough drafts for Chapter 1 will be due November 12.

Spelling: lesson 4 /First three pages: Due Tuesday/study for test on Friday
Senior Project: Now that you have had a lesson on using the library, go to your local library and try to get books relating to your topic. Lucas and Rebecca-we may need to look at your topics again if you have no luck with books, articles, or encyclopedias. Remember to use the library site to find your on-line information. Click on the research tab on the library site or ask your librarian. You can also access your library system from your home computer with your parent’s help. (think about your lesson with the librarian) You will need your library card to access research articles.
5th years

Spelling: Lesson 4 First three pages: Due Tuesday/study for test on Friday
Autobiography: Chapter One: Rough Draft Due Thursday, October 15th. Please bring all of your materials to school each day for help with structure. We will begin editing on 10/15. Follow the general outline attached to this e-mail to write chapter One. Each section requires a new paragraph.

Junior Great Books
The fifth year students have an assignment that is due on Wednesday.
Sixth Year Senior Project
Please make a list of as many of the main subtopics and sub-subtopics that you will be writing about in your research paper. Finish the list for our Wednesday afternoon meeting.
Make notes on your index cards using the resources that you have available to you. We will meet again on Wednesday of next week. Please bring your notes and resources to school at that time.
Mathematics - Total Math
You can choose any 4-5 pages in your math book to be completed by Wednesday . You might find some math games to play with some of your family members. Please record which pages you did in your planner.
