Coursework for English 10/10H will focus on American Literature. We will delve into the history and development of American Lit, and read a number of works by American authors. The Honors level course will feature some independent research and presentations, as well as a Writer's Workshop component.
Students of English 11 Regents will read a variety of works including novels, short stories and plays. Students will learn to develop strategies for analyzing literature and literary elements, and writing approach papers. Daily writing will include journaling and responding to literature. Final exam will be the NYS English Regents exam.

05/12: Wrap up RITS - review for final project and essay.

05/15: Review of notes - modernism, Harlem Renaissance, multiculturalism.
