Bayberry Samantha Smith
Plutonium Alek Krimsky
Ergotism Caitlin Morrison
Cadmium Shannon MacDonald
Lead poisoning Gina Martin
Snake Venom Lindsey Carroll
Poison Hemlock Karl Goettsche
Dioxin Samantha Welter-Farrell
Thallium Kyle LaPierre
You are to make a 5 to 10 Slide Powerpoint Presentation that showcases the following information:

4. How poison can be administered?
5. Symptoms of poison
6. Can include any "historical facts"
7. Can include a notorious case or case history
of it
8. Anything interesting about it?
9. Graphics
You will be giving me a copy of your draft for
approval/editing. You will eventuall present your
Powerpoint to your peers. While they watch it, they
will:
1. Summarize where the poison comes from?
2. How can it be administered?
3. Symptoms of poisoning
4. Rate level of toxicity of poison
5. Indicate whether they think the poison could
have been used on Sam

Sept 5 and 6th, 2007
I want to welcome all my students to Forensic Class. I am very excited that you will be joining me this year to learn about a topic that I am very passionate and committed to teach.
Please read over the Student Contract again (course guidelines and requirements) so you clearly understand course expectations. Please have a parent (guardian) sign the contract and bring back to class tomorrow.
Make sure you have a notebook just designated for Forensics. Think about your the style of organization that you will like to use. Rmember, your notebooks will be graded twice this year and count as a "big part of the grade".
Please remember, too, that a lot of Primetime Crime Shows will be showcasing their Season Premierss. I encourage you to view at least one of these. You will be required to analyze 2 Crime Shows this year, independent of your classmates.
__________________has offered to do the first "Crime Watch Week" of 10 days. Further instructions on how to construct the poster and present findings to the class will be forthcoming to you on Monday. Remember that "Crime Watch Week" is a mandated requirement of the course, too.
