Again, His be the Glory!

I apologize for the interuption in these schoolnotes
assignments.  My father-in-law has now been laid to
his well-deserved rest.  Things can get back to their more normal proceedings.

We have begun second semester well.  We are using the
Scriptures text now.  The study questions and vocabulary are in your notes.  Friday, 2/8/08, we will make sure that the vocabulary is understood, adding
aditional material to the notes as needed.

Any questions will be answered on Mon.-Tues.,
Days 4-5.  We will also clarify any vocab/study guide info needed for the test.

Wednesday, 2/13/08, Day 6, Chapter 1 test.

Assignment for Thurs., 2/14: Bring your Essay to
                             class with you.
           ESSAY  How are the Magisterium and
                  Infallibility connected?
           Remember that you may use your text or your
           notes, but you may NOT get help from people!

Mon., 2/18: Before you come to class,
           Read Chapter 30 in your text(pp 523-532).
           BRING YOUR TEXTS TO CLASS (Day 2).

monday April 7th: read through chapter 6 and copy
                  the vocab. into notebook.

Snow days certainly have swallowed up our last
week or so!  We need learning-friendly weather
from now on...

Mon., 2/25:  We finished what we need to know in
Chapter 30.  We will use the terms in the vocabulary
from time to time as they are appropriate to our
studies.
Today we start Chapter 2.  

Due Wed., February 27, 2008: Read the chapter.  
             Copy the vocabulary into your notes.
             Re-read the chapter, hi-liting
             the vocabulary you copied as it
             appears in the text.  

Due Thurs., February 28, 2008:  Answer the Study
             Guide Questions #1-11 in your notebooks,
             in complete sentences.  No need to write
             the questions.  Use the words from the
             questions in the answers.

Due Fri., February 29, 2008:  Answer the Study
             Guide Questious #12-21 in your notebooks
             in complete sentences.  

Monday, March 3, 2008:  We will review for the test
                        on Chapter 2, Tues., 3/4/08.

Tuesday, March 4, 2008:  Test on Chapter 2.

Thursday & Friday, 3/6-7/08, Day 2 & Day 3:
                   TEXTBOOKS due in class.

WOULD THE PERSON WHO BORROWED MY, MRS. SAFFORD's,
TEXTBOOK PLEASE RETURN IT.  IT HAS MY NAME IN IT.

                          (around p63-64).

                        answers to ques. #10-18
                        in complete sentences in Nb.

Tuesday, March 11, 2008:  Come into class with the
                          answers to ques. #19-27
                          in comp. sent. in Nb.
                    ALSO, bring in (signed) test
                          and corrections in com-
                          plete sentences on L-L.

Friday, March 14, 2008:  Chapter 3 TEST in class.
                         You have the notes from
                         class and the answers to
                         the Chap.3 Study Questions
                         at the end of the chapter.
                         So, please come prepared.

Friday, you will receive an Easter Vacation packet.
        It will contain two chapters to read.  
      1.  As usual, you will begin each chapter by
        copying the vocabulary into your notebooks.
        
      2.You will find the questions/fill-ins/essay
        /true or false for each chapter
        here on line to answer during vacation.  For
        the true/false: write the true version for any
        false statement; and, copy the true statements
        just as you find them.
        You will use complete sentences in every
        answer, and you will use the paper provided.

        ANYONE WHO WAS ABSENT ON FRIDAY, PLEASE USE REGULAR LOOSE-LEAF PAPER, FULL HEADING, SEPARATE SHEETS FOR EACH CHAPTER.  THANK YOU.

      3.  You will also receive the Rubric for your
        Old Testament Story Presentation.  We will
        finish assigning the topics after the test.

        ANYONE WHO WAS ABSENT FRIDAY WILL RECEIVE THE OLD TESTAMENT PRESENTATION RUBRIC WHEN WE RETURN TO SCHOOL.  YOUR PRESENTATIONS WILL BE DUE TWO WEEKS LATER, WHICH AFFORDS YOU TWO WEEKENDS TO WORK ON THEM.

Tuesday, March 18, 2008:  I was not able to scan the questions yesterday, as you could tell!  So today I'm getting friendly reinforcements.  You will find 20 questions for each chapter (5&6) and also one essay
(Mrs. Safford-type essay) for each chapter. These will be available by 6 pm this evening (and it is still technically Tuesday!).

Have a blessed Holy Week.  Please keep me in your
thoughts and prayers. You and your families, and all of your intentions are in my prayers every day, most especially Holy Thursday Mass, Good Friday Devotions, and Holy Saturday Easter Vigil.

In the Old Testament, God spoke through the prophets. Through whom does He speak today?  What does He say? How is this done? and Who is the primary prophet today?
