     Students should be reading an independent reading book for ELA at home, in addition to their normal ELA homework.  Each student needs to read a total of 25 books by the end of the year.  By the end of quarter 1, each student should have read and completed a log for 8 books.  On average, each student has read 9 books in ELA at the close of Quoarter 1.  Quarter 1 ended on Friday, November 6.  Please encourage your child to read at home.
