  READ A GREAT BOOK(S)OVER THE BREAK!!!

**School will be closed for Thanksgiving break November 25, 26, and 27.
    

     Students should be reading an independent reading book for ELA at home, in addition to their normal ELA homework.  Each student needs to read a total of 25 books by the end of the year.  By the end of quarter 1, each student should have read and completed a log for 8 books.  By the end of quarter 2, each student should have read and completed a log for 16 books.  On average, each student has read 11 books in ELA at this time.  Quarter 2 ends on Friday, January 2.  Please encourage your child to read at home.
