Students should be reading an independent reading book for ELA at home, in addition to their normal ELA homework. Each student needs to read a total of 25 books by the end of the year. By the end of quarter 1, each student should have read and completed a log for 8 books. By the end of quarter 2, each student should have read and completed a log for 16 books. By the end of quarter 3, each student should have read and completed a log for 25 books. On average, each student has read 29 books in ELA at this time. Please encourage your child to read at home.
