TO MY NEW STUDENTS:
Welcome to second grade! I am looking forward to seeing all of you in the fall.
Parents, you have homework this summer. I want you to find some time and read with your child every day for at least 15 minutes. You can read to your child or he can read to you. Do both! The more your child reads, the easier it is and the better he gets at it. It’s also really fun.
Here is a list of school supplies for September. You will need:
• 2 pocket folders (pockets on the bottom, please)
• pencils
• crayons
• stick glue
• liquid glue
• paint shirt
optional supplies are:
• scissors
• box of tissues
• box of baby wipes (unscented please)
• water color paints
• markers
• pencil sharpener
