"The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards...they simply are the ones who care the most." Charles Schultz
Messages: During this holiday season we will be donating non parishable food items, new toys (unwrapped), baby clothing, and warm clothing (i.e. mittens, hats, scarves) for school age children. The items that we collect will be donated to the House of Mercy to be distributed to needy families in the Rochester area. We are asking that each family donate at least one item. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Also a special thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped to make our Thanksgiving Feast such a huge success. As a school community we are truly blessed with wonderfully supportive, generous, and involved families. I would like to extend a special "thank you" to Mrs. Scortino for organizing and coordinating this very involved event.
Homework:
Math: 45B, Monday will be an assessment day
Spelling:
Science: test will be on Thursday, December 4th.
English grammar test on nouns will be Tuesday, December 9th.
Miscellaneous: December book report assignments have gone home. This can be a book that the children choose. It just has to be approved by me so that I know it is a 4th grade level book or above. The finished book report will look like a wrapped Christmas gift. If you have any questions, please contact me. This book report will be due on December 12th. Also, letters have gone home with information about our Jesse Tree project for the season of Advent. We hope that this Christmas ornament will be an enjoyable project for your family to participate in during this holiday season. Our 4th grade class mass will be tomorrow at 8:00. We will also have a Thanksgiving prayer service at 1:00.
May all of my children and their families have a very blessed Thanksgiving filled with the joys of family and friends.
Have a wonderful day.
Mrs. Castronova
