SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS - book orders will be sent out on Monday and are due on Friday (12/5). If you would like me to "hold" any orders to be used as Christmas presents, please indicate this on the order form. I will let you know when the books have arrived so you can pick them up. Books make great gifts and the prices from Scholastic are very good.
BOOKS IN A BAG - our home reading program has begun!
Please read the book with your child. When the book
can be read with no mistakes return it to school
and another one will be sent home. Our goal is that
each child will have read 25 books.
OUTSIDE RECESS - please, please, please make sure your child has warm clothes for recess. We go outside every day and now that the weather is getting colder the students need jackets, hats and yes even mittens. They also wait outside in the morning before school. Even if you drive them to school, and they only go from the house to the garage to the car make sure they have jackets because we play outside after lunch. Thanks so much for your cooperation in this matter!

UPCOMING FIELD TRIPS
December 15th - Christmas Caroling at the Friendly Home
May 11 - Helmer Nature Center
We will be needing drivers for these trips. Booster seats are a must if your child is not 7 years old. If you have extra booster seats already in your car and you can drive please indicate this on the permisssion slips. WE do have a few extra booster seats at school to use but the number is limited.
