Here's the anticipated agenda and homework assignments for 6th Grade Earth Science during the week of August 25, 2008.
WELCOME TO 6TH GRADE EARTH SCIENCE!!!
As you'll see, I typically post my plans for the week on this webpage. SOMETIMES we get behind and SOMETIMES we get ahead. I will let you know of changes in class, because I also post the daily agenda and homework assignments on the board in the classroom.
You'll need the following supplies for 6th grade science:
One-inch 3-ring binder with notebook paper (dividers are optional)
Pens and/or pencils
ONE composition-style notebook (get the kind with the cardboard cover). This will be your lab notebook for the year, and it will stay in the classroom.
Textbook cover (get the jumbo size)
Monday 08/25: We'll get organized for the year.
HW: For Thursday, you'll need to have the following completed: 1) Textbook covered; 2) get adult signature on my lab safety form; and 3) get adult signature on my classroom policies form. (You'll get these forms on the first day of class).
Tuesday 08/26: Complete an in-class survey. Textbook scavenger hunt (prizes!)
HW: See Monday's assignment.
Wednesday 08/27: Begin discussion and take notes: Scientific method.
HW: See Monday's assignment.
Thursday 08/28: In-class assignment, and prepare for mini-lab on Tuesday.
HW: None.
Friday 08/29: No Science Class on Fridays.
LATIN: Latin lesson will begin the week of September 8.
