The Math Contests have ended for this school year. I would like to congratulate the top students from our school. Joncarlo P. was the high scorer for our school. He also was in the top 8% of the thousands of students nationwide who competed in these monthly contests. Joncarlo will recieve a trophy and a silver pin. In addition, the following students scored in the top 50% of all those who competed. These students will recieve a felt patch. They are: Ayla A.,Vince C.,Matt D., Jeff J., Dan L., Mike M., Derek Y., April B.,Ashley D., Emily I., Mike K., Sydney L., and Colton M. All of the students will recieve a certificate for competing in these contests. Throughout the year they have put many problem solving strategies to work as the attempted to solve these very difficult problems.
Congratulations!
CHALLENGE 24
The students in the grades five through seven have been busy practicing and competing in Challenge 24. Morgan W. in sixth grade and Matt M. in seventh grade will represent our school in a diocesan wide contest to be held May 8th at St. Mary of the Mount. One fifth grader will also represent our school. Those students still need to have the finals to see who that will be. The final four fifth graders are Lauren B., Amanda M., Christian A., and Christina V. We wish all of these students the best of luck!
