I hope everyone has had a great summer! I am looking forward to seeing everyone next week. Here is some general information regarding the first week and school supplies for first grade.
All students should wear their school uniforms to school on Monday. We will have P.E. starting the next Monday we have school. We will be starting the day by going to mass. Remember to send in a snack with your child. We will have snack and recess at 10:00 because we do not eat lunch until 12:25. It should be a healthy snack. No spoons or forks!
For those of you who have ordered the school supply kits, I will be sending them home with the folders, tablets, and contact paper. Please label the folders and tablets with your child's name on the top right hand corner. I will keep the glues sticks and pencils at school for them to use as they need.
Here is a list of supplies for those who still need to get the supplies.
#2 pencils
2 black dry erase markers
4 glue sticks
24/16 crayons
scissors
2 large pink erasers
2 boxes of tissues
2 primary writing tablets
5 folders (red, blue, green, yellow, orange)
pencil case
copy paper
clear contact paper
I will be sending books home the first and second weeks of school to be covered with the contact paper purchased with the supplies.
Please send in $3.00 for the school copy books the first week of school also.
There will be lots of information coming home the first couple of weeks. Please check your child's back pack everyday.
Please make sure your child knows how they will be going home from school. Please write their bus # or car rider on a piece of paper they can give me the first day. The first week of dismissal can be very hectic and confusing.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of the children and you this school year.
