Today's lunch was wonderful and the children truly enjoyed it! We had fun playing Turkey Bingo too! Thanks to the many parents who donated time, talent and energy, I appreciate it and I know the children do too!

I have been unable to access my Schoolnotes for the last two days so I apologize for any inconvenience.
Our Book Fair at Barnes and Noble last night was a fabulous success! There were over 200 children from St. Gen's there and Barnes and Noble were quite impressed with how well behaved our children were. The Book Fair will run until Sunday so be sure to stop by!
There will be a Math test on Wednesday on Chapter 8. The reveiw sheet will come home on Monday!

We will be having a Science test next Thursday. The children will be reviewing their Science booklet and using that as a study guide. We will begin our next cell, The Earth's Surface next week.
In your Communication folder a letter came home outlining the Samaritan's Purse community service idea the Student Council is sponsoring. Each class is donating small gift items to be shipped over seas. We are asking for a shoe box covered in Christmas paper(the lid and bottom separately covered)to fill with these small items. Your children are extremely excited about this! We need about 10 boxes but if your little one is insisting on bringing one, that's fine, I am sure they will be used. Thank you in advance for your time and generosity to this worthy cause. We will be collecting items until November 19th (Please no war related items, army guys, etc.)
Please send in your Communion form and $15.00 fee at your earliest convenience. I am missing about 6 of them, thanks!

The children enjoyed a wonderful Halloween treat today! They played some fun games, Guess the Ghost, Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin and Candy Toss. Everyone was able to decorate a small pumpkin of their own, enjoyed a delicious cupcake and cider and listened to some Halloween stories and received a special candy treat and card and on top of that, it was Pizza Day! Thank you to the many Moms who helped this afternoon, I truly appreciate it and the children really had a ton of fun!
When the Phillies win tonight, the children will be allowed to wear their gym pants and a Phillies shirt (or something similar)to school tomorrow. There is no school on Friday...Happy Halloween!

Our class trip was wonderful despite the lousy weather! The children were well behaved and enjoyed the show, the Kimmel Center is beautiful! We arrived back at school in time for lunch and a little snow storm!

The children are doing well, it is all the short u, o and e words along with long ea, ee words. Our writing piece will be on how we learned something from a friend. Remind your child that sentences begin with a capital letter and need end marks! We will continue the test Thursday as well as Friday.

Mrs. White has asked that the children bring in (if they have one, do not go out and buy one!)a cowboy hat, or a kerchief/bandanna to Music this Wednesday, October 22. Permission forms will go home next week. I needed only one chaperone and have asked Mrs. Price to join us!
