GRADE 8 - You will continue to have class time to work with your group on your music time period. COntinue to research information on the music styles, composers and music from books, the folders you were given and the Internet. Please bring a copybook for music class and a pen or pencil to class every week. Make sure you have a rubric in your copybook for marking period one.
GRADE 7 - We are moving through the unit in the Grade 7 book about the Recording Industry. At the conclusion of this, you will begin your small group Recording INdustry project. More information will be provided in class. Please bring your music copybook and pen or pencil to class every week. Make sure you have a rubric in your copybook for the fist marking period.
GRADE 6 - We have begun practicing music for the sacrament of Confirmation. Please make sure you have your words with you. Please bring your music copybook to class every week with a pen or pencil. MAke sure you have a rubric in your copybook for the first marking period.
GRADE 5 - YOUR SIGNED REQUIREMENT PAPER FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR IS PAST DUE. It was due on OCTOBER 1st. You need a music copybook that is brought to class every week. Also bring a pen or pencil. You should have a rubric in your music copybook for the first marking period. We will move back into Unit 1 and then on to Unit 4 of the Grade 5 music book which correlates with your Social Studies. It is a unit on Folk Music throughout the United States.
GRADE 4 - You do not need anything special for music class. We will move back into our Unit work in the grade 4 music book. Shortly we will include Thanksgiving music.
SENIOR CHOIR - grades 5, 6, 7 and 8. Practice time is Monday during lunch recess, 12:30 to 12:50 in the music room.
JUNIOR CHOIR - grades 3 and 4. Practice will be on Tuesday at lunch recesss, 12:55 to 1:15 in the music room.
CHORALE meets on Wednesday's at 12:30 to 12:50 for any Senior Choir member in grades 6, 7 or 8.
CONFIRMATION is on Sat. Dec. 5th at 11:00 All Junior and Senior choir members (except 6th grade) are expected to sing. Be at Our Lady of Grace Church by 10:45.
The JUNIOR and SENIOR CHOIRS HAVE BEEN INVITED TO SING at the Middletown Township building on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9th. More information will be given out.
