Please bring in items about your community!!! You can bring in more than one item. We will be doing a fun scavenger hunt project with them during the first week of school. Popular items may include: photos, crayon/pencil rubbings of important buildings/memorials, flyers, menus, drawings, signatures of important figures(police, fireman etc).

THE BEHAVIOR CALENDAR:
EACH STUDENT STARTS THE DAY WITH A GREEN DICUT CRAYON. THEIR BEHAVIOR REGULATES THE COLOR THEY RECEIVE EACH DAY. STUDENTS MUST TELL MRS. CELENTINO AND THEIR PARENTS WHY THEY RECEIVED A COLOR CHANGE.
THE BEHAVIOR CALENDAR IS STAPLED TO THE BACK OF THE TAKE-HOME FOLDER. PLEASE SIGN EACH NIGHT. AN EXPLANATION OF THE COLORS ARE BELOW:
GREEN: GO0D TO GO- THE STUDENT FOLLOWED ALL CLASSROOM AND SCHOOL RULES.
YELLOW: YIELD- THE STUDENT NEEDED REMINDERS ABOUT THEIR BEHAVIOR.
RED: STOP AND MAKE A BETTER DECISION- THE STUDENT HAD DIFFICULTY FOLLOWING CLASSROOM AND SCHOOL GUIDELINES. PARENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED AS NEEDED.

100 BOOK CHALLENGE:
Every student is expected to read for 15 minutes a night. Your child should reach 400 books by the end of the school year.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO LISTEN TO YOUR CHILD READ AT HOME AND SIGN THEIR LOG SHEET EVERY NIGHT.
