SEVENTH GRADE RELIGION: This year I am excited to be using a new Religion text in Grade 7. We are using We Live Our Faith As Disciples of Jesus by Sadlier.
The objective of Chapter 1 – The Source of All Life is to explain to the students that God created all of us to know Him. He reveals who He is to us, and we will learn that Jesus Christ is the fullness of God’s revelation. Faith is our way of life. Ask your child what they have learned about divine revelation. Discuss with your child how God makes himself known to you and your family.
SEVENTH GRADE SPELLING AND VOCABULARY:
We are currently working on Unit 1. Vocabulary test will be on Friday, September 19.
SEVENTH GRADE READING:
We do reading comprehension quizzes every Friday.
We are currently reading "Song of the Trees." Assessment on the story will be on Wednesday, September 17. We are also working on a writing assignment in school on our story.
SEVENTH GRADE GRAMMAR:
We have weekly edit quizzes every Wednesday.
We are currently in Chapter 1 and studying various types of sentences.
SEVENTH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES:
I am very excited to have a new series this year. It will be available on-line soon.
We are currently studying the Native Americans. We have quizzes after each section in the textbook.
