On Tuesday, November 3rd, the 6th, 7th and 8th graders will take a trip to Philadelphia. The students will have a tour of the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in the morning. In the afternoon, the students will have a tour of the Union League, which was founded at the time of the Civil War and contains many important artifacts from that period. The Union League is located on Broad Street, just south of City Hall. The cost of the trip is $10 per student. Students should bring a brown bag lunch with them. Permission slips will be sent home this week. Please sign and return your child's permission slip with payment for the trip as soon as possible or by Mon. Nov. 2nd the latest. Thank you for your help in providing the students with these enriching experiences.
The representative from Bishop McDevitt High School was unable to come to HMS to speak to the 7th and 8th graders on Tues., Oct. 20th, as scheduled. I will let you know the new date and time as soon as it has been set.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your help in making this a great year at HMS for your child.
Sincerely,
Pat Kaiser
