The class is preparing for our upcoming trip to the Camden Aquarium . We are reading about and discussing animals of the sea and writing about sealife. This will also be the theme throughout our next chapters in Math on Addition and Subtraction methods. Please use the link below to aid in the preparation.
The children in first grade are spending time understanding the Pilgrims’ voyage to the New World. They will be working on a booklet “If I Sailed on the Mayflower…” and will celebrate with their older Indian friends a “Thanksgiving” of sorts. Wearing their Pilgrim and Indian hats the children will share some simple food, special friends and spend time thanking God for His goodness.
Technology is being well used in the First Grade. We have created bar graphs, pie graphs, developed Power Point Presentations on our interest and on our class activities. The children are captivated during this instruction.
