IMPORTANT REMINDER
Absence notes are REQUIRED upon your child's return to school. It does not matter if you call the school or talk to the teacher, we need to have a written excuse on file for the absence, EVERY TIME. This is a state regulation. Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
Since the weather is supposed to be hot this week, Sr. Patricia announced that the students are permitted to wear gym uniforms all week from May 29-June 1.
Thank you to Mrs. Barbara Hector for acting as coordinator for our party after the closing prayer service on June 6. If anyone can help with this, please let us or Mrs. Hector know. We are asking each family to contribute $5 to purchase refreshments and also to donate an item for the party. Please send in your $5 by May 31st, so we may begin purchasing/ordering the needed items. We need to have everyone's cooperation with this or else we won't be able to have a party for the children. Thank you!

HOMEWORK week of 5/21/12
*Family Times for "The House That Tony Lives In".
Written work (practice handwriting) MUST be done in homework copybook in PENCIL.
*Letters & Sounds Book - We are now using this book to practice writing numbers and making groups. This week, the children are to write "7" and "8" and make groups of "7 things", "8 things".
*There are no more sight words to practice for homework. We have completed all of the words that were on the list sent home in October. Please continue to review the sight words so that your child knows them all. They need to know all of these words before entering 1st grade.
*Please send your child to school with a jacket. We usually go out in the morning and it is still a little chilly. Weather permitting, we take the children to the playground, for a walk and they go outside for gym.
*Tuesday 5/22 - Cheesesteak Day - If your child does not eat cheesesteaks, you must send in a lunch from home. There is nothing else available.
*Friday 5/25 and Monday 5/28 - No School
*Wednesday 6/6 - Kindergarten Graduation, 9am in church. Children arrive regular time in school uniform. Refreshments after in the lunchroom then you take your child with you. We are asking each family to donate $5 plus an item for refreshments. Thank you.

**Information**
-Please return the white "Pulse" envelope you received the first week of school. We use them every month to send home communications from the office.
-Please make sure your child uses the bathroom before leaving for school. Our "scheduled bathroom time" for morning isn't until 9:45.
-Monday is Pizza Day. If you are not ordering pizza, you must send in a lunch. There is no other item available for lunch.
-Pretzels are ordered for the week on Monday. The cost for the week is $1.50 for pretzel only, or $5.25 for pretzel and drink. You cannot purchase by the day as there are not always extra pretzels. Sister only orders what is needed.
-Moms & Dads of Boys: Please make sure your son knows how to open and close his pants (snap, zipper, belt)and can tuck his shirt in. Thank you!
