ABC Homework: We will have ABC Homework this week, focusing on letter Hh. Please be sure to do a little bit every night.
Reading Homework: We will be having Reading Homework this week. Please make sure your child writes their name at the top of their homework. They know it is the first thing they should do, so I would appreciate it if you can reinforce this.
Name Writing Homework: We will be having Name Writing Homework this week. This homework is sent home on Mondays and due on Fridays. Later in the year it will change to Number Writing Homework.
Clearances: Please be sure to send your clearances as soon as you receive them so that we can get them recorded.
Journal Buddies: Kathleen and Aidan took home the Journal Buddies this past week. Kathleen took home Goldie and Aidan took home Pedro. Both did a variety of activities with their buddies. Keep an eye out for Goldie and Pedro to visit your home in the near future.
Star of the Week: Gabriel was the Star of the Week. He brought in pictures, his favorite activities, a yummy snack, and favorite book Dinosaurs Before Dark. He was also one of the line leaders for the week. Gabriel did a great job.
Mystery Box: Cole took home the Mystery Box. He brought in a notebook for the letter Nn. Cole did a great job giving clues and drawing his picture!
ABC Letter Books: Please send in Hh objects, for our ABC Letter Book; please try to send them in by Friday. These books are sent home for you to read with your child. Please be sure to return them the following day.
Scholastic Reading Recommendations: Dominic brought in his recommendation. He recommends: Llama, Llama Mad at Mama; Dr. Pompo’s Nose; Chimps Don’t Wear Glasses; and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Thank you very much for sharing.
Shoe Tying: I can’t believe it, but we now have 19 shoe tiers! Only 6 more to go and I have much faith in them. I am simply amazed and proud of them all. Keep up the good work. Don’t forget to practice zipping and buttoning too.
Snacks: Please be sure to send in a snack with your child everyday, even when they have hot lunch. Many parents are forgetting on the days their child buys. Also, your child is allowed to bring in a water bottle. We are trying to avoid the water fountains.
