Our performances of "Our Town" were quite entertaining....Bravo!! We continue to read the play aloud completing ActI and moving into Act II. We will finish up the rest of our work on Punctuation in Grammar as we go into the 3rd marking period. 7th grade will be involved in Tera Nova Testing each morning this week. Everyone should get a good nights sleep and eat a good breakfast. Students may bring in morning snacks to have during breaks in testing.
We will begin Unit 11 Spelling but the test will not be until next Monday due to Tera Novas.

I WILL BE COLLECTING $7.00 IN CASH FROM EACH STUDENT TO COVER THE COST OF THE NOVEL "THE GIVER" BY LOIS LOWRY. WE WILL BE READING THIS IN CLASS FOR THE BEGINNING OF THE 3rd MARKING PERIOD. I EXPECT TO HAVE THE NOVELS BY THE END OF THE WEEK SO PLEASE SEND YOUR MONEY IN ASAP. THANKS SO MUCH!!
We will read some of the non-fiction selections from our Literature Book this week while students are reading their own non-fiction selection for a book report.We will integrate technology for this book report to be done on "moviemaker" and students will use "moviemaker" to present and share their book with the class. Moviemaker will be taught in computer class during the next couple of weeks.
Students will also be working on a writing assignment
(an autobiographical piece in essay format). Due to
Tera Nova testing for 7th grade, 8th grade will be completing the above assignments in Mrs. Louden's and Mrs. Delio's classrooms as I will be administering testing each morning. We will also begin Unit 11 Spelling. The test will be Friday.
