I am pleased to have been assigned the Speech and Language position at SS. Peter and Paul for the 2008-09 school year and look forward to another wonderful year working with all of you. My name is Tina Borst and I am an employee of the Chester County Intermediate Unit for Non-Public School Services. Speech and Language Services will be provided on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

During the month of September, kindergarten students and new students will be screened for speech and language development. The screening provides a general impression of speech and language skills. Other students may be re-screened and/or monitored as well during September and throughout the school year.
If determined that a child would benefit from speech and/or language services, parents and teachers will be contacted to discuss appropriate goals. Parental agreement is required before any child is formally evaluated and/or enrolled in the program.
Upon completion of the speech and language evaluation process, students will be rescheduled for services in individual or small group sessions. Speech and language services will hopefully begin in late September or early October depending on the how many students will require formal assessment.
