Thanks to the many parents and students who attended the Puberty Workshop in November-What a great turn out! Parents have asked about additional classes, so we'll be adding another evening workshop in the spring for 5th and 6th graders. Please contact me if you're interested.

The Puberty Workshop for the 5th and 6th graders will be held the evenings of Nov 12, 13, 18, and 19. It will run from 6:30-8:00 each night, and cost is $20. There is still room, so please get your registration in to me as soon as possible! Please contact me if you need another registration form.
A counselor from Children and Families First will be facilitating the Puberty Workshop.

October is Fire Safety Month. We've been talking about a safe Fire Escape Plan in class. Make sure to check your smoke detectors (your children should know what it sounds like!) and discuss a plan to escape in case of an emergency. Know your two ways out from every room and your meeting place outside.
Remember to change your smoke detector batteries when you change your clock!
The Middletown Fire Department is going to collect our essays and posters and pick winners from different grades. I'll pass the information along when I find out more.
October is also Dental Health Awareness Month. Doctor Honig's office will be in to talk about proper dental care with our 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders on October 22.
