Tomorrow is Veterans' Day. We are expecting two veterans to come to the classroom and talk with us. The children will have some good questions to ask these important people. Please join us at the Prayer Service scheduled for 2:00 p.m. if possible. We are writing thank you notes to veterans to let them know how much we appreciate all that they do for us. We'll use them on our bulletin board outside our room.
I am still missing a few slips of paper requiring parent's signature letting me know that you are aware of the science project (due 11-17) and DE history project (due 11-20). Please sign and return these as soon as possible.
Both 4th grades are planning a field trip to the Franklin Institute on Dec. 15. Permission slips will be going home in Friday's Communicator envelope. It will be a good learning experience.
Thank you to everyone who has signed up for our visit to Manor Care Nursing Home on Tuesday, Nov. 25. We have plenty of parents willing to drive. Thank you so much. I know that the residents with whom we visit will greatly appreciate our time with them.
During conferences I mentioned to some parents that your students need notecards (file cards) for Science and Social Studies. I would like the students to begin using these cards for their vocabulary and definitions this week. I will be asking to see them on Thursday. The words that I need to see will be in the homework this week. Thanks for you help.
