I am extremely pleased to see that the students continue to be enthusiastic during class. They continue to add to their Spanish vocabulary, and many have retained a great deal of last year's vocabulary.
Just a few reminders:
***Students in grades 1 through 5 are asked to have a Spanish folder. Students in middle school are asked to have a binder ( can be as thin as 1/2") with looseleaf and dividers. These need to be in class each time.
***Students K-5 need to study at least 5 minutes/night, whether or not they have written work. Middle school students need to study at least 10 minutes/night, whether or not they have written work.
We are currently completing work on vocabulary for classroom objects and classroom commands, and will soon begin a unit on "TIME".Study sheets will be going home with all students the lst week of October/first week of November. We will continue learning the Sign of the Cross and the Our Father. Fifth grade will continue basic grammar while Middle School students continue to review grammar concepts from last year as well as learn new concepts.
***Want to get rid of those unused book...but don't
want to just through them away........
We are currently collecting lightly used, books (paperback and hard cover), appropriate for students in preschool through eighth grade, as our Spanish service project for the year. We will be donating them to St. Paul's, who does not have a library. Students may bring any donations directly to Spanish class. Thank you for your generosity.
