It has been an exciting year and I am extremely pleased with the enthusiasism that the students continued to bring to class. They accomplished so much over the school year, and I don't want to see any of them slip backwards......SO........
ALL SUMMER SPANISH PROJECTS....
Due the first Spanish class of the 2009-2010 school year. This will be the first grade of the new school year.
***Students entering 2nd through 5th---"A-WORD-
A-DAY".
To assist in vocabulary retention, all students entering 2nd through 5th grade are to write a "WORD-A-DAY" on looseleaf. Monday through Friday (June 15-Auguat 21) students should write a Spanish word and the English translation for one word that they studied this past year (a different word each day). Several subject areas we covered this year were: numbers, shapes, colors, animals, family member, rooms in a house, facial and body parts, clothing, and places in the community. Do not wait until the last week of summer to complete this. Start now while your memory is fresh...it should only take about 30 seconds a day!
***Students entering Middle School---WORKBOOK
ASSIGNMENT
Students are to complete the following exercises from the workbook ON LOOSELEAF.
Chapter 1- Exercises A, C, D, E, F
Chapter 4- Exercises D, E, I
Chapter 13- Exercises B, D
Students will be responsible for the vocabulary on pages 1, 20, 21, and 88. We will quickly review this at the start of the year. Don't wait until the end of the summer to complete this. Try completing one exercise each week so that you are consistently refreshing your Spanish vocabulary.
Hope your summer break is full of fun, relaxing experiences. Keep safe...remember sunscreen...and I'll see you at the start of the new school year.
God Bless,
Mrs. Pedicone
