At the end of January, the 6th grade will begin studying a unit on financial literacy. We are piloting a program in conjunction with ING Direct.
Representatives from ING will help conduct financial literacy social studies classes on January 20th, 25th, and 27th. We will then take a field trip to ING Direct on February 1st, for a full day of financial literacy education. ING Direct has developed great kid-friendly financial literacy teaching resources and an excellent computer based financial literacy program called Planet Orange. I am really excited about partnering with ING Direct!!! This experience is going to be enjoyable for our students and is a great way to teach financial literacy!!!
6th-7th, and 8th grade math classes return signed tests to school each week.
Continue to review and work on the Catholic High School Placement Exam Preparation Book this week.

6th grade homework assignment due Monday, November 16th. Students make a brochure advertizing the advantages of living in Catal Huyuk, a New Stone Age Village. Use information from our textbook and the internet.
6th grade social studies test chapter 3 on Wednesday, November 18th.
