At the end of the month, the 6th grade will begin studying a unit on financial literacy. We are piloting a program in conjunction with ING Direct.
Representatives from ING will help conduct financial literacy social studies classes on November 30th, December 2nd, and December 7th. We will then take a field trip to ING Direct on December 9th, for a full day of financial literacy education. ING Direct has developed great kid-friendly financial literacy teaching resources and an excellent computer based financial literacy program called Planet Orange. I am really excited about partnering with ING Direct!!! This experience is going to be enjoyable for our students and is a great way to teach financial literacy!!!
6th-7th, and 8th grade math classes return signed tests to school each week.
