Welcome to Speech and Language Support at Campus Community School!
The children at CCS who are identified as having a speech or language delay work in the classroom and in small groups to strengthen their communication skills. Support services for speech and language range from assisting the student with learning how to articulate specific sounds to communicating ideas through sentence development, vocabulary enrichment and appropriate use of all forms of communication. (Verbal, written, facial expression and posturing)
Students learn to improve listening skills including, following directions, focusing on relevant information, making associations, organizing information and learning memory strategies.
I work with the teachers to facilitate communication in the classroom. Vocabulary is taken directly from class instruction and learner outcomes.
