Nice job on our Native American projects.
An historian from Jamestown Outreach came to talk with us about the Powhatan tribe.
***Our "Native Lands" field trip will take place on Tuesday, April 21st at Bull Run Park. Students will need to bring a bag lunch with their name clearly marked. A few students have preordered bag lunches from the school cafe. If the weather does not cooperate the morning of our trip, the field trip company has deemed Friday, April 24th as our rain date. We will be able to find out two hours prior, and we'll let everyone know ASAP. If the trip is cancelled altogether, we'll send back the unused admission stickers for a full refund.
In language arts, we are working on fluency and comprehension in reading, and are continuing the proper use of abbreviations, contractions, and punctuation when writing. We are also clarifying adverbs, adjectives, prefixes & suffixes.
Neatness and proper spacing still needs reinforcement.
***Our Fun Fair basket theme is: PIRATES! Ahoy maties!!
Thank you to ALL of the families who have made contributions to our basket. The PTO picked up our basket this past Friday.
***We still need volunteers to assist with our 'Golfing in Scotland' game.
Keep reading and recording minutes in the Panther folder every day.

Thank you to all who signed up to volunteer in so many capacities. If you know of a day you'd like to come in, simply email me (address at the bottom of this page), so that items and directions will be ready when you arrive.
