Snack:
The children are welcome to bring a snack each day. We have lunch at 11:5 and often times they are hungry again by 2:00! Please have them bring a water bottle (water only!) to keep at their desks.

9:00 - Core Extension (enrichment and reinforcement of curriculum)
9:45 - Language Arts block

11:35 - Lunch
12:05 - Math
1:30 - Recess
2:00 - Encore (see schedule below)
2:45 - Science/Social Studies
3:25 - dismissal

Daily Folders:
The Bristow Run Folder is sent home daily. Please check this folder to record nightly reading, homework and school communication. Please use this folder to send in any work, lunch money, notes and forms. Please help your child remember to return it daily.
Homework:
The children are expected to read or be read to every night for 15 minutes. This is to be recorded on their reading calendar found in their Bristow Run folder. This is a schoolwide program. Starting mid September, there will be additional homework sent periodically throughout the week.

Back to School Night for Parents
This will be a time for me to share with you what a day in first grade is like! I will go over our curriculum and routine.
