We will have staff on-hand to answer questions and give insight into all of our programs including Public Charter Schools, Creative & Performing Arts, French Immersion, Montessori, and TAG.

February 17, 2009 Write-A-Book School Reception
Those placing in the HGF school competition
will receive recognition on February 17th at
2pm. Parent Notices will be sent home Friday
the 6th.
March 6, 2009 Lottery applications due
Destination Imagination
Destination Imagination tournament will be held on March 7th at Flowers High School, 10001 Ardwick-Ardmore Road, Springdale, MD 20774.
Once performance times are available they will be sent home with students.
Science Bowl Practice
The Science Bowl Competition had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather. The new date for taping is February 27, 2009.
Our team members this year are: Matthew Coleman, Kevin Crosby, Dennis Whitley and our alternates, Allison Eddings, Roman Namata, Carlea Williams-Locks, Grant Wilmore. We wish them well!
2009-2010 Screenings
Letters will be sent home notifying parents of screened students of their students status for the TAG Program for next year. Please feel free to contact Me if you have questions about the outcome of the screening.
SCREENING PROCESS
In 1st and 3rd Grade all students are screened for TAG. Part of the screening process involves the OLSAT. Parents will receive a notice when test dates are available as well as a letter once results have been received.
Students in 2nd, 4th and 5th grades are screened only when there is a written request made. Requests for TAG screening must be made prior to November 15th, in order to be considered for the 2009-2010 school year.
