SchoolNotes.com - Linking Educators to the Community
Hello Ferguson-Burroughs Academy Family!

Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year.  I want to
personally thank each and every one of you for your
interest in the PTA and for your continued support.

As a whole, our campus family is face with the
challenge of thinking of these two buildings as one
cohesive unit.  This will not be easy as we all are so
used to the elementary school and the middle school.
Also, understand that we have now grown to 1145
students.  We as the PTA are focused on assuring there
are no gaps in activities for the students as well as
resources for parents and teachers this school year.

Looking into the future, there are many ways you can
assist the PTA with its goals.  We have a number of
activities and events planned that will need parent
involvement and volunteers.

Our children's education is best supported when
parents, teachers, administrators and the community
work together to share thoughts, ideas and projects
that benefit children.  We are encouraging everyone
who wishes to support our students to join the PTA.
Please invite friends, family members, neighbors and
others in our community to support Ferguson-Burroughs
Academy PTA and help us give "every child, one voice".

We ask that you become a member of the PTA and sign up
with a committee.  The current membership fee is
discounted.  The cost to join is $6.00 each adult
until October 13, 2009 after this date the membership
fee will be $10.00.  If you have children interested
in joining the PTA/PTSA their fee is and will always
be $5.00 each.  Checks should be made payable to HGF
PTA, Inc. If you would like any additional
information, please feel free to contact our
Membership Chairperson, Renee Paxton at
paxtondiva@aol.com.

Sincerely,
Karen Chapman, PTA President
