Welcome to Ms. Pazzaglia's Kindergarten Class Notes!
Dear Kindergarten Families,
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Ms. Tonya Pazzaglia and I am honored to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher for the 2009-2010 school year! I am returning to Henry G. Ferguson Elementary School for my 5th year of teaching kindergarten. I look forward to working with you and your child to make this positive, productive and memorable year.
At the beginning of the year, the children are introduced to the classroom rules and daily schedule. Behavior charts, important notes, and class work will be sent home daily in your child’s folder. A signed behavior chart and folder is required at school EVERY day.
Classroom Rules:
1. Raise your hand to speak and listen when others are talking.
2. Follow directions.
3. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
4. Work quietly and do not disturb others.
5. Show respect for school and personal property.
6. Work and play in a safe manner.
*Each child needs to bring in a complete change of clothing. These clothes should be in a clear, Ziploc bag labeled with your child’s name (underwear, shorts/pants, shirts, socks.) Please keep these items in your child’s backpack throughout the year.
*If you wish to have your child buy lunch, please keep adequate funds in the account. I recommend bringing in or sending in a check that has your child's name and pin number on it. This saves time and is easier for the students. If you need to check your child's account call the school and ask to be connected to the Cafeteria.
*School supplies and Emergency cards/Contact forms, etc are all due if you have not turned them in already.
*Kindergarten homework will begin the week of September 8th. In the meantime, please work with your child on the following skills: reviewing and understanding the class rules; writing his/her name correctly; tying, zipping, and buttoning clothing; and memorizing his/her lunch pin number.
