Dave Freeman, Mrs. Freeman's son, will build wooden boats with 4 of 5 kindergartens this week (day to be announced - )
Our promotion ceremony will be held in our classroom Friday, June 6th. We'll begin at 11:30 with certificates awarded for our prize winning book.  At 12:30 Mr. Dilly,  music specialist, will lead us in some favorite songs. Then we will party with ice cream and cupcakes. Parents are all invited!!

***The  May green Reading/Math calendars are due this Friday, May 30th, completed on both sides. Let's win another pizza party!

**We are emphasizing vowel sounds and digraphs (wh, th, sh, ch).

**Math Emphasis: We are  skip counting by 2's, 5's, and  10's, adding and subtrracting to 10.

***FIELD day is Wednesday June 4th from 12-1:45. Bring a water bottle labeled with your name! WEAR SNEAKERS111

1. Children MUST wear sneakers daily. If they choose to wear boots to school, they need to carry sneakers in their bookbag for PE class.
2. Homework assignments are stapled in a packet. Parents are encouraged to help children complete work with care. The report card will note exactly how many times children turn in homework.  

3.  The Scoop Newsletter is sent home the first day of each school week  Graded papers come home each Monday in the red pocket folder. Remove the graded papers and the weekly newsletter.

4. Papers with a bumblebee drawn on them by the teacher, demonstrate superior work. Bring back bumblebee papers for a tiny prize.

5. Parents are asked to bring money directly to the cafeteria to place money in their child's account.
