Welcome to Mrs. Freeman's Web Page!

*** All our little ones were promoted to First Grade. They went home with a folder of important information (kindergarten and first grade word lists, the 4 math facts tests given in kindergarten and first grade, a list of websites which can provide parents with a steady source of books that can be duplicated that children can read over the summer, etc.
***  This fall, the program, called PBIS, will be instituted school-wide next fall at Calverton. Children will be issued play money which they may exchange for items from a school store. The main idea is to promote the 3 R's: respect, responsibility, and being ready to learn (on time with requisite supplies). I am excited about the program and will represent Calverton at a 2 day conference to be held in Ellicot City MD with principal Mary Tschudy, our new counselor, and 2 other staff members.

HAVE A WONDERFUL SUMMER!

1. Children MUST wear sneakers daily. If they choose to wear boots to school, they need to carry sneakers in their book bag for PE class. We have begun a dance unit.
2. Homework assignments are stapled inside the black and white composition book. They are due each Friday Children are rewarded with a small prize for completion of the previous 7 days of work assigned.

3.  The Scoop Newsletter is sent home the first day of each school week  Graded papers come home each Monday in the red pocket folder. Remove the graded papers and the weekly newsletter.

4. Papers with a bumblebee drawn on them by the teacher, demonstrate superior work. Bring back bumblebee papers for a tiny prize.

5. Parents are asked to bring money directly to the cafeteria to place money in their child's account.
