***No special letter of lthe week.

**If we get 100% of the GOLD colored October Reading/Math calendars signed by Wednesday, October 28th, we will have a pizza party on Thursday.

**We do NOT celebrate Halloween.  We have a book character parade. You must carry the book to accompany your costume on Thursday. Costumes must be worn to school.  

**Sign the new ORANGE November Reading/Math calendar nightly. If we get 100% this month we will have a pizza party top celebrate!

***In Math we we have begun working on counting and writing numbers 13-31 We are lso beginning skoip counting (by 10's and 5"s).

**Reading Groups meet daily. We are rocking and rolling in reading. I just completed DRA testing (reading level testing). The results were exciting and will be shared with parents at conferences!

NO Flip flops, PLEASE. Two children fell on the stairs last year.

1. Children MUST wear sneakers daily. If they choose to wear boots to school, they need to carry sneakers in their book bag for PE class. We have begun a dance unit.
2. Homework assignments are stapled inside the black and white composition book. They are due each Friday Children are rewarded with a small prize for completion of the previous 7 days of work assigned.  

3.  The Scoop Newsletter is sent home the first day of each school week  Graded papers come home in the red pocket folder. Remove the graded papers and the weekly newsletter.

4. Papers with a bumblebee drawn on them by the teacher, demonstrate superior work. Bring back bumblebee papers for a tiny prize.

5. Parents are asked to bring money directly to the cafeteria to place money in their child's account.
