Welcome to AP English.
This rigorous, college-level course is designed to be a first-year university English course. Expect to work hard and succeed.
Students, you will be expected to develop reading skills for close readings and to think and to write clearly, concisely, and convincingly.
Parents, please turn off the TV and limit computer use. This is the year to READ and WRITE. Students must read and reread assigned books. And, of course, they should read for pleasure.
Assignments are noted on the front board, in the make-up book, and on the web. Students,if you are concerned about any assignments, contact a classmate, read the notes in the binders in the classroom, check the website, or connect me. Our Yahoo group also has a current calendar with due dates. There are no excuses for not completing work in AP English.
