ANNOUNCEMENTS
  NOTE:
* Report Cards for the 3rd quarter will be
  distributed on Monday.  
*All of our Laurel High School Community can still
  recycle white paper,newspapers, shopping catalogs,
  junk mail and magazines.  We  have ON CAMPUS a
  Recycling Bin, called the GOLD & GREEN ABITIBI PAPER
  RETRIEVER. All of my classes have been asked to
  recycle, we have invited the school body to join us
  and we invite the community.  The bin is located
  on the cafeteria side of the campus.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
ANNOUNCEMENTS
   *During the month of April all of my environmental science students will have the opportunity to participate in a field study (trip) sponsored by Bridging the Watershed.

   *Each student in my Environmental Science Class has an on going assignment to RECYCLE. Once every two
weeks,each student should dump the papers into the recyling bin and return the empty box so that recycling can continue. Students are graded each time this is done and at the end of this week papers should have been dumped 12 times. This project is on going for the entire school year.

  *ASSIGNMENTS
PERIODS 2a,3a,2b,3b,and 4b
- In textbook - Chapters 15 & 16
              Food and Agriculture, Mineral Resources
- Chapter Vocabulary - Use format
- Section Reviews
- Analyzing Case Studies- Use format
- Complete Workbook assignments
Other Assignments
- Create a Timeline showing the population and change in
    water conditions in this area during a 400yr period
- Prepare for the Post 'Don't Get Sedimental' Test
- Study notes, write summaries, answer chapter reviews, be prepared
   for chapter quiz
- Bring proper attitude and required materials daily
- Notebook checks will be random.

BIOLOGY   Period 4A
- In textbook - Chapter 18 - Classification & Chapter 15-Evolution
- Define assigned vocabulary - Use format
- Answer Section Assessments
- Answer Workbook - Chapter 15
Assignments
- Vocabulary-Pass Due Chapter 18
-  Worksheets
- Lab p.91 - 94
- Be prepared for Quiz Ch.18

Further Assignments
- Bring proper attitude and all required materials
  daily.  In addition to the daily requirements of ALL
  classes, students in biology must have their
            *Lab Book
            *BCR Book
            *Workbook (When assigned)
            *Student Review Booklet
            *Maryland HSA Booklet(Lime colored)
NOTE: If these books are lost students must pay $5. to
      $10. to get a replacement

- Covered Textbook
- Notebook ( 3-Ring Binder with notebook paper)
- 2 Pens
- 2 Pencils
