CLASSROOM INFORMATION

Attendance & Tardiness

Attendance is required to succeed in this course.  Excessive absences will result in poor performance.  All attendance policies found in the Student Code of Conduct are in effect.  If you are absent, you must present the instructor with an excused absence note from the school.  You will then be eligible for make up assignments.  You will be given a due date for the assignments you missed due to your absence.  Please read the list of excused absences in the Code of Conduct to ensure you are in compliance.

Tardiness (being late to class) is an interruption to the class and to the teacher.  Tardiness will not be tolerated.  Students will forfeit all assignments that are completed before their arrival when the tardy is unexcused.  This could include homework due that day or a test or quiz being taken or a writing assignment being completed at the start of class.  Excessive tardiness will result in further disciplinary action in addition to classroom penalties.
