Major Project
All students are expected to complete the Senior Portfolio, which includes: senior year action plan; college analysis powerpoint presentation; a list of colleges the student is interested in pursuing admission; a personal statement; a resume; letters of recommendation; and high school transcripts.
Method of Assessment
Students will be assessed bases on their attendance, completion of tasks in College Summit Navigator, Senior Portfolio, and all other required class activities and assigments.
Homework
A review of class activities and the College Summit Navigator should be a part of your nightly assignment, as well as college scholarship searches; thus you always have homework. Nightly assignments will be given on a regular basis and are often projected in advance. Students are to copy assignments from the board daily. All homework is due on the given due date. No late homework will be collected.
Make-up and Late Work Policy Homework, class work, and projects may only be submitted late without penalty when accompanied by an excuse note, which contains a county approved reason for the absence. (See student handbook for approved absence excuses.) Homework will not be accepted late when students are in class on the due date, but do not have assignments.
