Parents & Students!!
Welcome back for the 2007-2008 school year! I hope to update this site every 3-4 weeks to give parents the ability to keep abreast of what my classes are doing. Please note that WebGrade IS NOT up and running due to an incompatability between my version of MicroGrade (soon to be changed, hopefully) and WebGrade. For that reason, updated student grades will ONLY be available through daily progress reports and regular grades until further notice.
The courses that I teach this year are English 12 and English 11. Please check this site regulary for updates during the school year.

English 12 -
The World Literature Course is currently studying Chinese and Japanese Literature and Culture. Right now, we are well into the 1st half of the second quarter and our focus will continue to be studying various world cultures and literature. Students have taken their first quiz for the quarter and will continue in this unit for the next week or two. Once the unit is complete, the students will take an exam on it.
English 11 -
Currently, we are studying Early American Literature and focusing on the variety of themes and emotions behind that literature (freedom from Britian, freedom from slavery, etc.). This course's entire focus will be literature written by American authors from many different American cultures and races. We are about to take our first quiz for the quarter and another one is scheduled in the next two weeks.
