Welcome to US History. The year has finally begun and we have a lot of great things to embark upon. A letter has been sent home with your student about the vast amount of subjects we will be discussing this year, as well as the grading policy. I am proud to be your teacher for the year. SUPPLIES *Spiral bound notebook with five sections *Pencils or pens *crayons or colored pencils *ruler Please do not have a composition book Homework: *August 25/26: Have the back of the Information sheet signed and returned the following class date. *September 5/8: Make sure all of your supplies are in. We have not had any major homework as of right now, but we will be starting on readings. ---Books will be handed out on Friday and Monday, please make sure that these are covered by the following class date. *September 5/8: Critical thinking questions that are to be answered on the back of the foldable: 1. Why did European Societies show interest in Native American and West African cultures? 2. Describe where slavery came from and how it began. What was the middle passage? 3. Compare and contrast the Native American and West African cultures.
