19. CW: KWL- The Civil War (20 pts)
    6/1, 6/2: Students will complete an activity in
    small groups and will submit a KWL demonstrating
    their knowledge.

18. PRO: Civil War Timeline (40 pts)
    5/28,5/29: Students will create a timeline of
    Civil War events.  Must include a minimum of 20
    facts (including five major battles) and a minimum
    of 6 illustrations.

      **ALL FINAL RESEARCH PAPERS DUE!!!***

17. C/H: North and South- Compare/Contrast (20 pts)
    5/26,5/27: Students will examine the war
    perspective from the Union and Confederate sides.
  
16.C/H: Civil War Begins ppt (30 pts)
   5/20,5/21: Students will examine the perspectives
   of both the North and the South. Vocabulary
   included.

15.C/H: Spirit of Change Wkst (30 pts)
   5/18,5/19: Students will examine major societal
   changes in the areas of immigration, reform, women,
   and slavery during the mid 1800s.

14.C/H: California Gold Rush Wkst (15 pts)
   5/14,5/15: Students will complete a worksheet
   related to cause/effects of the CA Gold Rush.
   **GRADE SHEETS COME HOME- PLEASE REVIEW, SIGN AND
   RETURN.

13.T/Q: Unit 5 6 7 Test (56 pts)
   5/14,5/15: Students will be assessed on their
   knowledge of the early presidents (Washington
   through Jackson).

12.CW: Manifest Destiny (20 pts)
   5/12,5/13: Students will examine the reasons the US
   decided to expand West.

11.CW:Westward Trails Chart (15 pts)
   5/7,5/8:Students will describe the various reasons
   different groups travelled West.

10.HW: Unit 5, 6, 7 Study Guide (25 pts)
   5/7,5/8:Students will review materials from related
   to the Early Republic. Test will be 5/14, 5/15.

9.CW:SQ3R- Conflict Over State's Rights (20 pts)
  5/5,5/6: Students will examine major reasons for
  sectional differences and write a summary.

8.C/H:Jacksonian Democracy and the Trail of Tears (20
  pts)
  5/1,5/4: Students will analzye the presidency of
  Andrew Jackson, including his policy toward Native
  Americans. Complete BCR at home.

7.C/H: Guided Reading and Writing Activity- Monroe
  Doctrine (30 pts)
  4/27,4/30: Students will work in small groups to
  analyze a primary document and complete a writing
  activity to reinforce understanding.

6.HW:Industrial Revolution: Inventions (25 pts)
  4/23,4/24: Students will describe major achievements
  of the Industrial Revolution of the 19th century.

5.CW:War of 1812 Activity (20 pts)
  4/21,4/22: Students will use a during reading
  strategy to describe major events of the War of 1812
  and complete a summary.

  4/10,4/11:Students will analyze some of the major
  achievements of Jefferson's presidency, including
  Marbury v. Madison.

2.CW:John Adam's Takes Office (15 pts)
  4/1,4/2:Students will describe the major events
  during the presidency of John Adams.*Finish at home.

1.CW:The Nation's Capital Wkst (15 pts)
  3/30,3/31: Students will examine a selection and map
  that examine the development of Washington, D.C.
