Mark your calendars! Next Monday, May 11th, 1A will roll out the red carpet for moms! The students are practicing a special song to sing for their moms - you may have heard your child singing it in the shower. There may even be a Jeopardy game to see if moms are really smarter than first graders!
The arrival of May signals that June is fast approaching. Please remind your child to continue to focus and do his/her best over the next five and a half weeks of school. There is still a lot to be covered before June10th!

Wednesday: Choose five words to use in sentences. Any of the four sentence types (statement, question, exclamation, command) may be used but each sentence must be identified in terms of what kind it is.
Thursday: Study for spelling test.
