Music History - Trimester 1, 2009

The 6th grade students should come to every class with their two-pocket music folder containing several blank pieces of notebook paper and my handouts. They also need to bring a pencil.

At this point both classes have received a paper on George Frederick Handel, the Baroque Period and one describing the differences between oratorio and opera.

They have also viewed a video on the life and music of George Frederic Handel and have listened to excerpts of his oratorio, the Messiah.

Information from these sources will be included in the unit test and on any quizzes.
