Dear Parents and Grandparents,
I hope you are staying warm in this frigid weather! I am currently finishing report card comments about your most precious gifts: your children.I do write a separate one for each student.
Before your children receive their report cards on February 1st, they will evaluate themselves by looking at work they completed during the second quarter. It will also give them an opportunity to see the report card since it will be new for them. I will also be sending home the children's Quick- Write books so you can get an idea of how they are progressing in writing.
On Tuesday you will receive a letter from me about spelling. I have mad some changes for the next quarter. We need to focus on the children's daily spelling to improve their accuracy. I am hopeful that the activities and strategies they will practice will enable them to be more successful. Please feel free to inform me of your thoughts too.
