We are having a great year so far. The children are working hard to follow rules and be good school citizens. I appreciate all your continued support at home.
The Book Fair is coming this month! The class plans on visiting the fair on Wednesday, Oct. 1st for ‘shopping’ and on Oct. 8th for our purchases.
Book-It begins this month. Please be sure to fill out the forms for your child to earn their monthly pizza reward.
Our math unit is addition and subtraction facts. Please continue to practice facts every night with your child!
We have finished up our first reading theme and move on to “Helping Hands”. We will read stories that focus on people working together to accomplish goals. We will continue to work
on reading strategies to improve our fluency.
In social studies we will continue our unit “Where We Live” which focuses on communities near and far.
In writing, we continue to explore and examine the choices authors make and the methods they use when writing.
