Hi and welcome to my schoolnotes page! My name is Ms. Mali and I am a special education algebra teacher. I am thrilled about the 2008-2009 school year and look forward to working with my new classes!
- My Algebra classes will be following the Cognitive Tutor curriculum. This class includes a computer program that we will be working on every other day in class and I encourage students to work on it as often as possible at home! This will help them retain new concepts they are learning in class.
-I co-teach 2 classes with Ms. Dougher and teach one self-contained class by myself.
- We will starting 2nd semester with unit 7 which focuses on systems of equations. Students need to be on unit 17 for cognitive tutor by the end of this week. (2/6/2009) My self-contained class is working at their own pace, but needs to keep working here at school and at home!
- Both classes will have homework almost every night except for Friday! It is crucial for their grade and for extra practice to complete these assignments! Parental support is also very helpful!!
- Please make sure your student comes to class every
day. Materials needed include:
- notebook with unit pages
- pencil
- calculator
- student assigment book
If you have any questions or need extra information for assignments, please don't hesitate to contact me! E-mail is a wonderful way for us to keep in touch! You can reach me at kmali@aacps.org!
