Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome your child to first grade.  We will be doing many exciting things for reading and math.  The children will be bringing home decodable reading books to read to someone.
Also, the children will have weekly homework packets to do consisting of both reading and math homework to reinforce skills taught in first grade.    In addition, the children are required to read two books weekly and complete the reading log.   Lunch will be from 11:00-11:30a.m. daily.   Many thanks for supporting our school and your child to ensure a successful school year 2008-2009.
We are really off to a great start.   Please remember to check your child's folder for notices and weekly homepackets.
