Please purchase a regular pair of tennis shoes for P.E.
Tennis shoes are required. According to Wicomico County Policy, too many zeros in P.E. can lower your grade.
****Fourth and Fifth grade students receive A-E grades and 3 zeros will lower the grade one letter.
****Second and third grade students receive O,S,NI,U grades and 3 zeros lowers the grade.
When you look at your shoes, if you have to say, "Gee, I wonder if these are o.k. for P.E.?"
THEY ARE PROBABLY NOT. But, we will be glad to look at them for you.
Please keep this in mind when shopping and check your calendar for P.E. days.
In Phys. Ed. we follow the PBIS RIDE rules just as in all areas of the school. Students can receive merits for good behavior as well as checks for inappropriate behavior.
4th and 5th grades will be taking the Fitnessgram test in October. This is a county-wide test that measures cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility. They will also be dribbling with both feet and hands as the semester progresses. 2nd and 3rd graders will do dribbling as well as locomotor skills.
Interns Mr. Thomas and Mr. Scotton will be with us throughout the year.
