Language Arts
We have been working on Theme Three- Incredible Stories. The children will be reading a variety of stories that are ‘incredible’ because they could never really happen in real life. Later on we will be writing our own incredible stories.
BCR practice- Mrs. Kilchenstein has been working with our class on lesson to break down the BCR – (brief constructed response). We are focusing on determining exactly what the question is asking and how to appropriately respond.
Math
Well this Unit is on place value and and decimals. I get very excited when we do our pre-test and no one was able to score above a 50%. Excited you say?? Yes, because that means that I get to teach all of them new information. I can’t wait to see our test results after the unit to see how much we all learned.
Science
We have begun working on the plant unit. We are germinating our seeds right now and soon we will be planting our seeds hydroponically. We will be growing bean plants in our classroom without using any soil!!
