Welcome to the LES Band website! Spring has finally arrived, and our Spring Concert is rapidly approaching! As the warm weather draws the kids outside, please be sure to encourage them to continue practicing. It only takes 15 minutes a day!!
Speaking of concerts, the LES Spring Concert will be held at Leeds Elementary on Tuesday, May 20. I do feel the need to express an important matter concerning the concert. IT IS THE EXPECTATION OF THE LES BAND PROGRAM THAT ALL BAND STUDENTS ATTEND THE SPRING CONCERT!! The only accepted absences are illness, family emergency, or unforseen circumstances. THE CONCERT IS EXPECTED TO TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER SPORTS AND SOCIAL EVENTS!! We only have one spring concert, and we have no 'substitute players'. If your child misses the concert, there is no one to take their place. Every student is necessary and important! Please be sure your child attends the Spring Concert on May 20.
Don't forget that Friday is band day! The students will need to bring their instruments, lesson books, and practice logs to band every Friday for practice! Please remember that band grades do appear on the report card, so it is very important that all band members come to band every week with all their materials.
