Dear Parents,
God, I praise you, so wonderfully you made me.  Psalm 139:14

God made us special.  There is no one else in the whole world like us.  We thank God for making us special.   God loves us and will never stop loving us.  We even learned how to say I Love You to God in sign language.

We met Mr. D in his disguise this week.  We added lots of great D words to our D word wall.  We learned the sound the letter D makes and how to write Dd correctly.  We were detectives and found missing Ds.  Next week we will review our letters and meet some word families.
We learned about one-to-one correspondence this week in Math.  We used one-to-one correspondence to find equal sets.  We practiced identifying groups with more and groups with less or fewer.  We know how to equalize sets.
We've been learning about our senses this week.  We are using our senses to gather information about our world.  We have five sense.  This week we discussed the sense of taste, hearing and sight.  Next week we will learn about our sense of taste and touch.
On Tuesday, we had our own class room election to vote for President.  We learned that the United States has had 43 presidents and our newly elected president will be the 44th.  We are too young to vote, but our moms and dads vote for us.  The President has to work very hard to help keep our country clean and free.

Mrs. Perez visited our classroom today.  She told us the story of Roy the Responsible Rabbit.  Roy took care of his carrot plants even when it was hard.  He did his job!  He was dependable!

I look forward to seeing you all at conferences next week.  Progress  reports went home on Thursday.  Pleae sign and return the Progress  Report when you come for your conference on Monday or Tuesday.  Also in the envelope was a conference form for you to complete and bring to the conference.  You complete the parent side and we will complete the other side together at the conference.
                                                                                God Bless You,
                                                                                           Kathy Carpenter

Nov. 10 and 11 are Parent/Teacher conferences.
Resting towels and Library books will come in on Wednesday next week when we return to school.
